The next step towards re-usable launch vehicles: SALTO !
The HorizonEurope Project SALTO (reuSable strAtegic space Launcher Technologies & Operations) coordinated by the ArianeGroup has just been selected by the European Commission for funding. In this project first flight tests of the Themis demonstrator fired by Prometheus engines will be performed and crucial technologies for high altitude tests will be prepared.
We, the RETALT team, joined the project with the aim of working together with other partners from industry and research towards the goal of making reusable launchers a reality in Europe and to exploit the know-how, methodologies, tools and data generated in RETALT.
